Meet Mrs Eriona Campbell: A Passionate Music Educator

Mrs. Eriona Campbell is a music teacher and writer on music education, practice motivation and pedagogical techniques in the private lesson. She is a children’s book author of “Orpheus and the Strings” and “Orpheus and the Piano.” She graduated from York University with a Masters degree in Education. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music. She also graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Additionally, she is a graduate of the College of DuPage in Chicago with an Associate Degree in Arts. As a musician and a teacher, she is passionate and committed to passing on her love of music and learning.

With nearly 20 years of teaching experience in piano and cello, Ms. Eriona can combine the enjoyment of learning and making music. She emphasizes the importance of regular practice and persistence in the learning process. Her extensive teaching experience of the RCM curriculum allows her students to excel in RCM exams. They achieve outstanding marks in both piano and cello. 

Outside the classroom, she is one of the founders of the Grand Staff School of Music in Thornhill. She is also the current director. She is the head coordinator for school recitals, concerts and class performances. Ms. Eriona also writes regularly on numerous aspects of music education. She has published articles for the Canadian Music Educators Association Journal. Her work also appears in the Ontario Music Educator’s Association Journal. It is featured in the Canadian Music Teacher Magazine. Additionally, it is included in the Canadian Teacher Magazine.

In September 2024, Ms. Eriona established the Uxbridge Music Studio for piano and cello at the St. Andrew’s Chalmers Presbyterian Church in the heart of Uxbridge. The goal is to make piano and cello lessons a wonderful part of the Uxbridge families’ lives. This initiative empowers the love of music!
